Dongjun Ma

Mr. Dongjun Ma is a veteran in both private equity investment and investment banking, having more than twenty years’ experience working in the U.S., Hong Kong and China. He is highly experienced in corporate finance, cross-border M&A and integration, growth capital investment, and investment management, including bringing together global capital and leading Chinese start-ups to create exceptional long-term values.

Prior to Oceanpine Capital, Dongjun was the CEO of Qingdao International Investment (QII) and led numerous large and complex equity investment and cross-border M&A transactions, as well as the fundraising and management of the various investment funds under QII.

Before joining the buy-side, Dongjun spent more than fifteen years in Hong Kong and in the U.S. working in the investment banking industry, as an MD and Head of IBD at ICBC International, as an MD at Nomura Hong Kong, as an MD, SVP and VP at Lehman Brothers, as a VP at BOC International and as an analyst at JP Morgan Chase. He led and participated in hundreds of IPO, M&A and bond offering transactions totaling hundreds of billions of US dollars.

Mr. Ma received a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University in 1999 and a B.A. in Economics from Peking University in 1991.
